Unit 4 Getting around, describing (there is/are), and instructions

Objetivos

Deberás ser capaz de:
  • Hablar sobre como te transladas ( medios de transporte) y cuanto tiempo utilizas en tus translados.
  • Describir los servicios de un lugar utilizando there is/are"
  • Seguir y dar instrucciones (imperativo)

Phrases for asking directions. Make a list and make sure you know their meaning.

Listening
A. Video clip form English bites "How do you get to uni"

In this episode we'll talk to students from Adelaide University. We ask them about travelling between their homes and the university.
Listen and read the script fom the clip . Make sure you understand the how to talk about transportation. Be ready to take a video dictation. remember to bring your videoclip in your cell phone for the listening quizz.

B. Listening and reading
1. Practice following instructions with Computer tutor 1
This is a long tutorial so make sure you have 2 hours to conclude it as you can not continue it on a different session. On the first page, select your type of connection (broadband or dial-up) and the box "subtitles". This will help you understand what you are asked to do.

C. Writing instructions.
Make a wish list for Santa, write ten orders and check if Santa can do them.
First select "English " as a language. Then in the box "enter your command" write the order and click on "start".
Write two of the orders you enjoyed the most in the wiki, look for the page selected for this activity.
